Patricia Baca Bennett is a Constitutional Conservative who believes that the judge's role is to apply the law as passed by the Legislature to the facts of the case before her. Patricia has been married for 19 years and is the mother of two children, including one special needs child. She understands the need to protect children while respecting the rights of parents.
Patricia is a highly qualified Board Certified attorney with a specialization in Family Law. This certification shows substantial, relevant experience in the field of Family Law, as well as demonstrated and tested competence in areas such as divorce, child custody, child support,and adoption. Out of all licensed attorneys in the State of Texas, only about 10% are Board Certified.
To be considered for certification, one must first be recommended by peers and judges, followed by testing to prove expertise in the area of Family Law.Once certification is achieved, the attorney must maintain a continued involvement in new developments in thelaw through additional continuing legal education.
Patricia is a proud graduate of the Texas Tech University School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctorate. She was granted the Board of Regents Scholarship and gained valuable experience as a writer and editorial board member for The Texas Lawyer.
Prior to law school, Patricia received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Texas at Arlington. While there, she was a member of the Honor Society and was awarded scholarships for her work with the debate team. Patricia also attended Southwest High School in Fort Worth and St. Andrew's Catholic School.
Patricia is a Catholic who believes in traditional family values.
